My name is Brandon Bonvillain and I am a Life Scout from Troop 172 in Metairie, Louisiana. My Eagle Project will be a Battlefield Cross surrounded by memorial bricks to respect and honor our fallen and serving military members in Lafreniere Park in Metairie.

All of my grandparents have served in the military. My love of the military comes from my family of veterans and by my NJROTC class at Brother Martin High School that has instilled a strong pride in our military. My cousin, Sgt. Joseph Bovia, was in the Marines and loved his work. He sacrificed it all on August 30th, 2010. When my cousin died, I promised I would honor him and keep his memory alive. When I was brainstorming my Eagle Project, I thought this would be the perfect way to honor him and all the others past, present, and future.
